Neil Pryde SPX C65
65% carbon. Practically Indestructible. NeilPryde believe that 65% carbon content is the minimum you should have to get the maximum out of your sail. They balanced the lower carbon content with berglass prepreg layers in the lamination process to make this mast virtually indestructible. The thicker berglass wall of the mast makes it immune to ovalization under compression.
SPX65 are the lowest carbon content masts in the Pryde range. Thanks to the added fiberglass prepreg layers in the lamination process it is virtually indestructible. Use of fiberglass results in considerably thicker walls making the mast immune to ovalization under compression as well as very resistant to impact damage. In weight it is very close to the previous FLX70 range and Pryde believe this is the minimum carbon content they should recommend for a NeilPryde sail.
