//stronger winds GYPSY is a 7 meter kite made to serve experienced riders in stronger winds and rougher water conditions. It is also a very stable and intuitive kite with a great low-end range, which makes it a great kite choice for lighter riders in moderate winds.
Natural Strength.
GYPSY, by its nature, is strong and rigid. It has what it takes to survive and excel in higher winds and rough surf. Its extra reinforced construction makes it a great tool in demanding conditions, and his friendly character will give you all the confidence that you need to charge when the going gets rough.
Waveriding.
Surfing with a kite is one of the most amazing feelings to be had outside of the bedroom. And when the right conditions occur at your spot, you want to be equipped to seize the moment to its fullest. GYPSY has great turning ability, and reacts directly to your inputs, so you can choose where on a wave you want to be instead of it choosing for you. When rigged to the FAST setting on the front bridle (RABBIT TUNE-UP SYSTEM) it flies downwind by itself so all downwind wave turns can be done with the kite in a right position. Bombproof construction and solid LE gives this kite the best chance possible of surviving contact with rough water.
Jumping.
Where is the real fun in kiting? It is catching air! No matter if you can already throw the sickest ones or you’re still working on jumping over surfboards. What matters is the feeling. The key is the sensation of flight. When it is really windy, not everyone has the guts to even try. With GYPSY it is different. Because you have your partner in crime with you, the confidence is there to just hold the edge, pop the kite from the bottom of the window and blaaaam! A good friend never lets you feel afraid. A true wake style bro.
Quick Turning.
To perform well in waves and have power to spare for jumps, a kite should turn quickly. But it also has to be stable on course and very predictable. Both beginners and advanced riders really appreciate such combination for their needs. By turning quickly GYPSY creates a beautiful extra pop that can pull you out of the water like being shot out of a cannon. And for those who want a bit slower steering when the wind picks up, GYPSY can be slowed down by easily changing the position of the back lines to the SLOW position on the kite tip (RABBIT TUNE-UP SYSTEM).
Upwind.
Whether you want to shred more waves, get more jumps, or just enjoy a great day of free riding, you want the ability to come back upwind fast. GYPSY was designed to not let you down at this point. Even when the wind is getting lighter it still plays all the angles to bring you back to where you started.
Direct light feel.
GYPSY, like all other Rabbits was designed to be steered with a direct feel on the bar that lets the rider control the kite with great precision and instant reactions. In the air, SMOKE feels very solid and stable which is the effect of his well-engineered construction. All the above, plus light pressure on the bar, in both hooked and unhooked positions makes this kite so sweet!
Automatic Re-Launch
In order to provide maximum comfort and confidence, all RABBITS relaunch almost automatically.
Because of their round shape, when they fall in the water they have a tendency to land on their sides and travel to the edge of the window, relaunching with very little effort from the pilot. And in the event that the kite crashes and submerges the leading edge, a firm pull by the pilot on one of the back lines will turn RABBIT around where it will re-launch again, without swimming to it! RABBIT BAR is equipped with specially coated leader lines with relaunch balls on steering lines that make the process very fast and easy on the hands.
Tune Up System
By their definition, RABBITS are all round wake style kites. But as every kite boarder has his own style, it is important to let him tune-up his kite to accommodate those unique preferences. Some riders prefer a bit firmer pressure on the bar, some need to have more vertical lift, some would appreciate downwind sailing more than hang time. Accomodating those differences would be very easy, with RABBIT TUNE-UP SYSTEM . Every rider can have full influence on how his RABBIT is going to act. These options are for the advanced rider, and the kite needs to be ridden first on the factory set-up for some time. After that every pilot will be able to tune his own RABBIT for his needs as necessary.
GYPSY is a powerful kite but its energy can be controlled very well and even shut down immediately when needed. Instant and quick depower is a great skill of this kite, and as soon as the rider lets go of the bar, the pull of GYPSY stops. GYPSY, like all RABBITS, should be used with the original RABBIT BAR that was designed very precisely to match the characteristics of these kites. Together, they work precisely and provide a very wide range and depower with no stopper balls or other complicated features. Pure simplicity that let’s you explore your limits with confidence.
1. Chicken loop:
We provide two chicken loops, one for hooked riding with the dingy guy to avoid unhooking accidentally, another one for easy unhooking (freestyle and waves).
2. Quick release:
Our molded quick release is super simple to open and just as easy to reassemble. It’s light and small so you can almost forget it.
3. Handle pass leash + quick release:
The handle pass leash can be also be used as a front line leash. You can always release it by pushing away the little red tube.
4. Bar:
The bar is made of 50%carbon-fibre and 50% fiberglass, which makes it really strong, even with its fairly small diameter. It will be perfect for beginners and expert riders alike who want a narrow bar for handle pass maneuvers. The bar length of 50 cm will fit all of our kites and make it really simple when you want to change the size of your kite. There is no need to change the bar. However, we produce three different colors, one for each rabbit, so you can always recognize which bar is for which kite. Also for pictures, even if you don't see the kite you’ll be able to know which size kite the rider is on…Smart no?
5 Center line rope:
The rope used for the center line is a 5mm Dynema rope with a PU tube to cover it and protect it. It will last very long.
6 Stopper ball:
The stopper ball is adjustable, if you don t like as much length on the centerline and want to reduce the de-power a bit, then you can open the screw, slide the ball down and re-tighten.
7 Clam cleat + magic Velcro:
For us, it’s the most accurate adjustment system, and also the easiest one. The Velcro will help you to keep the extra adjustment rope from flying around and bothering you.
8 Adjustment rope:
We provide two adjustment ropes. Made of 5 mm Dynema rope, it will last long, but as the clam cleat is sharp, it will be damaged after a while, that’s why you have to keep an eye on it and change it before it breaks.
9 Safety red balls + swivel:
In case of emergency, or if you just want to land your kite alone: you should grab the loop behind the red ball, and activate the QR. The front line will slide through the ring above the swivel, killing all the power of the kite. The swivel allows you to always keep your front lines from twisting, which allows the safety balls to work properly. Wash it before and after your kite session.
10 Re-launch balls:
The rabbit re-launches by pulling one of the back lines when the kite falls and the leading edge is on the water. The re-launch will be easier when you grab the re-launch ball and pull it towards you.
11 Floaters:
The Floaters cover the back lines, which is then covered by PVC tubing. This will provide durability for your lines, and reduce the risk of tangling back lines around the bar ends in re-launching situations.
12 Bar ends:
The end of the bar is smooth and low, providing a good feeling when stirring (not too easy, not too hard). It also gives you all the space needed to roll up your lines, and have a little benji inside to block them when they are rolled around the bar
