The brand new 4-batten Concept blends crisp freeride performance with effortless light handling in light to medium winds. Ken Black studied a wide range of freeride windsurfers in holiday centres. He noticed many riders blasting around on unsuitable freestyle rigs – which are light but lack the drive necessary to power larger boards effectively. Power combined with the super-easy handling and light weight of the Concept make it the very best sail for progression and with respectable top-end stability, it will last well beyond the early stages of planing.

Incredibly light, with a carbon/glass ratio of 3/1, the quality of the laminate together with the ‘ProTec’ coating on the entire lower half ensures its durability both in the boom area and anywhere camber inducers engage the mast. The upper half is finished in natural silk carbon for minimum weight, low centre of gravity and fast reflex response.

As the name suggests, the RD 60 is 60% carbon, built with the premium Pre-Preg system. This durable Reduced Diameter wave mast is finished in classy natural silk carbon and offers superb value.

Most top wave sailors are using RD masts for their strength and performance characteristics. Until now, the only Tushingham Reduced Diameter offering was a 100% carbon mast, a stunning product but a little out of the price range of some windsurfers. The RD60 mast delivers RD strength and reliability at an extremely competitive price.

The narrower diameter of the lower part of the mast has a significant effect on how it will match the sail’s luff curve. We’ve made a corresponding adjustment to the mast’s bend curve, in order to achieve a perfect fit with conventionally cut sails.
