The Freemove fin features a new variable parameter concept, which ensures the fin size is optimized for the conditions. Every fin has a different outline and shape, as the fins become longer they are more oriented towards light wind efficiency and upwind ability, and on the smaller sizes the fins become oriented towards control and turning.

The RTM process offers far greater control and optimization of the mechanical properties of the fin. Twist and flex can be controlled by varying the material type, weave direction and material positioning. This allows us to have a stiffer base and vary the twist of the tip or trailing edge to optimize the performance.
In the development process Pro Limit work with pro riders to first optimize the foil and outline of the fin from computer cut prototypes. Once they have a model they are satisfied with, the RTM mold is prepared and various material options researched to optimize the required performance.
