New to Nobile for 2010 is the 50fifty wakestyle range - the board of choice for KPWT winner Mike Blomvall. After recognising the differing needs for a pure wakestyle board to the requirements of a traditional freestyle board the 50fifty designed.
The 50fifty incorporates the same 3-D deck shape and channels as the 2010 NHP range allowing for accurate control of the flex between the longitudinal axis and cross axis. However, it is overall stiffer in recognition of the specific requirements of advanced wakestyle moves. To achieve maximum POP (without the use of the kite for lift) we’ve increased the radius of the curve in both the outline and the rocker to achieve a smoother more aggressive carve and thus achieve more height when the kite is held in a powered position. In addition, we selected a 100% Wood Core to provide for maximum strength.
The all new 3-D Construction mould allows for the use of smaller fins, drastically decreasing the chance of tripping over the tips during high speed landings.
Ready to be ridden with either straps or bindings, the 50fifty is something for you if you crave a pure wakestyle board that provides huge levels of control at speed, aggressive carving and unbelievable POP combined with butter smooth landings in all water conditions.
- All new 3-D Construction mould allows for even more advanced flex control
- Kicker and slider proof build quality
- Wider stance options for more stable riding position
- Multiple insert spacing for footstraps, conventional wake bindings and the new Liquid Force kite binding standard
- Fin Shims for stronger fin/board connection
- Smaller fins for looseness and control on landing
- 3-year warranty against breakage
//3-D Construction
In 2006, Nobile introduced the Elliptical Concave that combines the advantages of both a flat-bottomed board and concave. With the Dynamic Asymmetrical Outline they designed a shape that is destined to enhance and work in harmony with your natural physiology. In 2009, they increased the lift in the tips of the Hydrodynamic Rocker Line, this subtle change increases versatility and dramatically reduces unwanted spray whilst maintaining all the other benefits the NHP has become famous for.
For the 2010 NHP and 50/fifty range they have introduced a new revolutionary
3-D Construction influenced by o team riders. This revolutionary mould allows the creation of differing flex, both longitudinally (along its length) and laterally (across its width), throughout the board.
Today’s riding styles result in heavy impacts and with the wider stances currently used, such loading can result in the board “inverting” and the rocker becoming convex, which normally leads to the tips catching and the rider coming to an abrupt stop.
Their channel mould allows the board to flex across its width, providing for rider comfort on landing, but maintains stiffness along its length ensuring there is no flattening of the rocker on impact, thus vastly reducing the chances of the board catching.
Reducing the longitudinal flex has the additional advantage that the rocker line can be made fuller without the resulting loss of speed normally associated with this type of change. The deeper rocker eliminates spray and reduces the possibility of nose-diving when riding through chop and waves at speed.
Available with yellow or black footpads.
// IFS PRO
// IFS PRO
Introduced in 2009, the innovative and well-received IFS PRO has been further improved for 2010 and continues to raise the standard of board/rider connection to new levels of comfort.
The IFS Pro is the world’s only triple-density, molded pad resulting in a foot bed system where the compression “ramps up” through its depth of travel. Heavy impacts sees each layer becoming progressively firmer, preventing any possibility of your foot coming into contact with the board, yet maintains the direct feeling needed between the rider and the board when on the water.
Comfort however mustn’t be at the expense of function and the ergonomically formed IFS PRO features an in-board cant leading from the heel down to the toe, ensuring that upon impact, your foot is held securely into the strap with little chance of it slipping dangerously out of it. Featured on the front edge, the multi-ridged toe strip helps with grip, whatever your foot size, and the molded Polyurethane texture under the heel provides traction in all conditions.
For 2010 they increased the width of the integrated foot strap to further enhance foot grip and comfort. With no exposed webbing or hard materials to create friction rubs on your feet, the vertical adjustment has been increased to ensure a wider range of fits for all foot sizes.
Finally, in the further application of the Nobile Human Concept they have coloured the straps and pads in a distinctive, high visibility Yellow to enable riders to easier locate lost boards should they become separated.
The IFS Pro continues to guarantee that every ride is a pleasure with unparalleled levels of comfort working hand in hand with function.
Nobile´s Human Concept is about harmonising the needs, requirements, and sometimes limitations of our bodies, with technical advancements in equipment as we strive for the ultimate synergy between rider and material.
Neither boards nor kites are able to function alone….. it is the rider that connects everything and it’s too easy to let the fanatical pursuit of ultimate performance dominate, forgetting that we riders may not always have the necessary physiology to make effective use of these advances, nor the desire to sacrifice other equally important factors, such as comfort and safety.
Nobile’s Human Concept acknowledges that our goal remains ultimate performance through technological and innovative progress, but in COMBINATION with the advantages and limitations our bodies naturally feature, allowing riders to enjoy and appreciate the quality and achieve maximum performance from the equipment they are riding.
