Pure down-the-line wave sail
The 2012 Fly2 is a light, powerful freestyle/wave sail with explosive acceleration. It will feel right at home in the waves, bringing modern freestyle maneuvers into the wave arena. From air chachos to e-sliders this sail is aggressive and smooth at the same time.
Main Points
• 4-batten wave sail – lightweight, with drive and stability.
• High level of manoeuvrability and fluidity on the water and in the air.
• On/off power: powers up through hard bottom turns and depowers instantly when changing direction.
• Light, forgiving feel.
What's New
Sporting a redesigned luff curve, The Fly2 is more neutral and stable than in previous years. With the power forward and low down, the sail can be controlled and the power turned on and off easily depending on rider input. High outhaul tension in the sail through the bottom oriented luff curve further helps to stabilise the profile of the sail.
The 2012 Fly2 comes in two colours, as seen in the pictures above - Red or Green.

The Fly2 2012 is a down the line wave sail, to create this feeling the characteristics of the sail are explained below.
Four batten layout: For light weight and quick on/off power.
The lowest aspect ratio: in the NeilPryde wave sail lineup: keeping the power low down in the sail where it can be controlled easily.
Bottom oriented luff curve: Holding the draft forward
and low in the sail for optimum control during manoeuvres.
Moderate to flat profile: Allowing the sail to go to
neutral easily when needed.
See below for a comparison of characteristics between Neil Prydes wave sails.

The Fly2 has four main construction features, each explained below.
Armourweb HD Dyneema®
Durable, thick polyester yarns at 90 and 180 degrees, interlaced with the ultra-strong Dyneema® yarns at +/- 40 degrees for optimum tear resistance and durability. Used along the top perimeter of the Wave, X-Over, Kids and SUP sails, preventing damage in critical areas.
Armourweb Dyneema®Durable, flat polyester yarns at 90 and 180 degrees, interlaced with ultra-strong Dyneema® yarns at +/- 40 degrees for optimum tear resistance and lightweight. Used on all coloured film of the Wave, Race, Kids and X-Over sails.
Twin Seams
Twice the muscle and twice the endurance. Double stitching is now used on all critical seams on all sails allowing them to endure prolonged exposure to high loads and impacts.
Compact Clew
The Compact Clew improves control of the sail in three ways: reduced boom length, a more compact outline with rider-focused surface area and improved sail twist. Available on Wave and X-Over sails.
The 2012 Fly2 comes in 8 sizes, fit for all waves. The specifications are shown in the chart below.
