Fanatic FreeWave 2011
// versatile wave

Fast & loose compact shapes with CAD-shaped rocker lines and full flowing rails for slashing, carving, freeriding and sliding. Perhaps the most versatile shape, the Freewave comes in 75, 85, 95, 105 and 115 sizes. There’s more wave bias in the smaller models and early planing, blasting and freestyle performance in the larger styles. The FreeWave 75 comes with a US-Box, to reflect it’s surfier style and the rest feature the Powerbox - the established standard for freestyle, Freewave and freeride hulls.
All models are available in either Light Finish Custom Wood Sandwich or elite featherweight Team Edition (TE) with Carbon/Kevlar deck; Carbon bottom lay up plus unique faded metallic airbrush and sexy polished base and rail effects.
All new for 2011 comes the exclusive 95l TeXtreme© light model. Featuring advanced TeXtreme© Carbon Weave Technology – the lightest and densest fabric available for stunning results in finish, weight, durability and stiffness.

Key Features:
- Short compact shapes, wide forward outline for early planing and smooth wave riding
- 70° pintail to rounded nose
- Test-winning CAD-designed scoop rocker line
- Full rails with higher apex and tucked-under edge for control near the front

Fanatic’s CAD Master Shaper Sebastian Wenzel on one of his favourite styles. “After assessing this style I gave a lot of attention to creating more compact outlines with fuller V, tucked-under rails and rounder nose shapes for smoothness, control and early planing. Using my CAD engineering system I’ve perfected a rocker line with high entry point, a short flat section and enough tail kick to advance the scale of use.” Carbon Kevlar Light Technology (Double and Single)
The lightest and most impact resistant Carbon Kevlar, combined with a double PVC /Wood Sandwich and Wood/Carbon Heel Reinforcements guarantees the most efficient construction in terms of light weight with maximum impact resistance. The Team Editions of NewWave, NewWave Twin, Quad and FreeWave benefit from a double sandwich deck with Carbon Kevlar layups, plus Carbon bottom layups. The Skate Team Edition has a single sandwich deck of Carbon Kevlar and a Carbon bottom. New for 2011 is the use of special wood and pvc stringers, for extra stiffness and re-inforcement in the bases, according to range of use each slightly different. All of these models are produced with the Light Finish sanded look, for extra weight savings, whilst the new polished and airbrushed rails and bases are the ultimate optic for 2011.
Textreme Technology
For 2011 in just one FreeWave size (95L), the Textreme Freewave has an extremely light layup of pvc, wood and Textreme cloths, to ensure one of the most innovative constructions Fanatic has ever produced. The Textreme material is not only an optical eye-catcher, but also has many technical properties which make it superior to standard Carbon cloths. The main advantage is the flat weave, which is stronger, yet lighter as less resin is needed/absorbed. On the deck we use the high quality full Carbon Kevlar material to offer the most efficient construction in terms of light weight with maximum impact resistance. Combined with the polished base and airbrushed rails, the Textreme FreeWave 95 is the talk of the beach.
Custom Wood Sandwich Light Technology Using a lightweight yet robust wood and glass fibre construction gives a very high strength to weight ratio. In combination with the Double PVC/ Wood Sandwich, this is an extremely durable lay up, the thick sandwich, wood and glass fibre absorbing high forces, even after the hardest landings! Used on the standard FreeWave models.
