Jason Polakow Windsurfing Boards 2008
JP Real World Wave 2008
Ref: 544
The Real World Wave can unlock the potential of the softest breaks right through to firing world class venues. Covering almost the whole spectrum of wave sailing, the Real World Wave boards provide an immense range.
Real World Wave boards which work in any wave conditions you can think of with unmatched early planing. They demand very little input from the rider. But, if you want, you can also get radical with them. Apart from its great ability in the waves it is also a fantastically fun board in bump-and-jump conditions.
SHAPE NEWS
The concept is still based on the wide, short body idea for early planing, stability and a compact feel whilst maintaining a big sail and wind range.
Slightly narrower, especially in the tail, makes the board really predictable and smooth in the bottom turn. Off the top the board snaps around tight and aerials come naturally. Its now much easier to get in the right place at the right time on any wave.
Additional curve in the bottom makes the board release onto the plane smoothly and consistently, resulting in impressive acceleration and top speed.
A flatter deck produces an instant reaction to foot steering and snappy turns take on a new meaning. The speed of your cut backs and re-entries will stun every rider. The feedback through the board oozes confidence to the rider allowing a real go-for-it attitude!
Refined tuck and rail create the ideal mix of grip and forgiveness when railed up for radical turns. Very soft and round in the mid area of the board sharpening gradually to a razor sharp thin tail which does not allow the tail to break out - not even on the fastest most radical turns.
PRO Edition (PRO) - with full Biax Carbon top and bottom and G10 fin. Super Limited Silver Finish on top, bottom and rails.
Full Wood Sandwich Technology (FWS) - Limited Finish on bottom and rails.

Ref: 96
SHAPE NEWS
The 07 Radical Wave line featured a single concave foresection followed by a vee bottom, with slight concave from the wide point mid length back. The rocker line was uniform and relatively straight, the ride fast, direct and versatile.
The Pro Waves have a full length concave bottom design that combines the best characteristics of last year's Radical Waves with increased maneuverability and snap on the wave face.
With a generous single concave through the midsection there is plenty of lift for easy planing.
The concave is also well suited for great bite and high speed stability in screaming bottom turns.
By eliminating the vee and adding lots of tail rocker and concave in the aft section they made a board that not only has great riding characteristics but also has more carve flexibility than last year's boards. (The ability to change the arc of your turn once the rail is set.)
The JP Pro Waves have incredible bite, speed and stability and for 2008 Richard's line is snappier than ever.
These boards hold their speed from one maneuver to the next and absolutely cut the waves apart when you carve. Looking down the line at the next section he's going to crush is Jason's trademark and having a board that will get him there is key to his style.
SUMMARY

JP Freestyle Wave 2008
Ref: 167
All YOU NEED
The first generation of these boards basically found a new market segment 6 years ago. Since then they have been a benchmark in the crossover category. Several magazines now even test board groups called Freestyle Wave taking its name from this highly successful line of boards. They can lend itself to anything the rider asks for. Wave riding, jumping, blasting or spinning through the latest freestyle stunt.
DEVELOPMENT FOCUS
Boards which inherited outstanding planing ability and glide onto the plane with very little or no effort in a predictable fashion. Perfect for those who love to fly straight off the beach and boost big air. Off the wave it projects you skywards with huge pop from such little effort.
The new line is considerably looser on the wave face and makes them feel very close to full-on wave boards. They give the rider the ability to get even closer to the critical section and the confidence to snap it back off the top.
SHAPE NEWS
Responsible for widening its range is the new bottom curve and narrower tail, allowing the rider to turn hard on the back foot, making use of even the tightest sections.
In freestyle mode the redefined, soft tuck line (almost to the front foot straps) makes it very reliable and smooth during planing moves, inspiring confidence in the rider. Sliding moves come easy!
Another positive effect of the new rail is the comfortable ride, which makes the board very forgiving, and a great blasting board for coastal and flat-water conditions.
On the smaller boards the flatter deck offers more efficient foot steering and faster reaction in maneuver situations.
On the bigger sizes a constant deck radius makes sure you find a comfortable position and experience an exciting sailing sensation in every footstrap set up.
RIDER
Slightly advanced to expert riders who want a triathlon board which perfectly covers three key segments of windsurfing - bump and jump, freestyle and waves.
PRO Edition (PRO) - Technora Kevlar Technology. Super limited finish on bottom, top and rails.

JP Freestyle 2008
Ref: 148
The comprehensive freestyle range covers the whole spectrum of freestyle sailing, from light breezes to nuclear winds, even in combination with waves. No limits, get creative! We are also confident that our boards will continue to have the best freeride performance in all freestyle magazine tests.
RIDER
Short board beginner to Freestyle World or European champion.
SHAPE NEWS
Tuck line and rail shape are highly responsible for sliding performance. The newly generated rail throughout the board in combination with the tail bevel makes spocking effortless with total control. Improved maneuverability based on a new outline and bottom curve allows the rider to pop it off a rail so much easier - moves like shakkas have never been so easy.
The compact dimensions provide the direct feel and remove the fear of rotating in any direction by inspiring confidence. The refined rocker line provides a loose sailing sensation while giving you amazing control when flying over chop at full speed. Transition from non-planing to top speed happens gradually, effortlessly and smoothly.

JP X-Cite Ride 2008
Ref: 161
MAXIMUM RETURN FOR MINIMUM INPUT
RIDER - Suitable for short board beginners to advanced freeriders looking for an early planing board which is the best easy gyber and which demands minimum input in return for an exciting ride.
The highly successful shapes of the X-Cite Ride range remain unchanged compared to 2007 with the exception of an adjusted fin position.
SHAPE DETAILS
Not radically short as extra length makes the boards more forgiving.
The rocker line is designed to give a loose feel and a super comfortable ride even in rough and choppy conditions. Short wetted surface for high speed giving the exhilarating sensation of riding a much smaller board.
Constant volume distribution pops the board onto the plane without an active sailing style, also carrying a huge range of sail sizes with ease.
Nicely domed deck for a relaxed stance. A wide variety of foot strap positions offer the ideal trim for pleasant and relaxed sailing, suited for short board beginners through to advanced riders.
Pulled-in outline behind the back foot strap combined with thin rails producing excellent maneuverability. They turn on a dime and the radius can be changed at any time during high speed carving maneuvers.
New fin position for an even more comfortable ride which results in higher top speed.
PRO - PRO EDITION with full Biax Carbon top and bottom and G10 fin. Super Limited Silver Finish on top, bottom and rails.
FWS -FULL WOOD SANDWICH Technology Limited Finish on bottom and rails.

JP Super Sport 2008
Ref: 146
The 2007 Super Cross and Super Sport models were amongst the fastest boards in every single magazine test already most of the time they were the fastest. The 2008 boards are a big step forward in speed. JP did intense GPS testing and the improvements were just amazing.
DEVELOPMENT FOCUS
JP were aiming at high-speed potential combined with great top end control. This makes them the ideal choice for drag racing and blasting past other riders on the water. Another goal was to jump onto the plane easily and respond with acceleration in every gust, as well as easy jibing.
The new Super Sport generation are the most advanced and performance orientated designs in the freeride segment and still very easy to ride and maneuver. Damn fast but still very easy to control and jibe.
Advanced, performance oriented riders who want to go almost as fast as Micah but want that extra bit of comfort and easy jibing.
PRO Edition (PRO) - with full Biax Carbon top and bottom and G10 fin. Super Limited Silver Finish on top, bottom and rails.
