Severne Element 2008
Ref: wssevelemnt08
The Element2 is the softest and most user friendly of the cam sails. Forgiving yet highly efficient,
it glides through the lulls and accelerates in the gusts. It features the snap on canm rigging style
while being soft, forgiving and easy to rig.The function of cams is to induce shape in the body of
the sail, which optimises performance in the lower wind range and creates a powerfull locked in feel.
For 2008 focus has been on improved rotation through the use of finer profile entry improvrments
to balance skin tension.
By maintaining the draft position and overall drive of the sail further forward, the elemnt allows a
more upright rider stance which translates into a sail that is easier to sail faster.

Severne NCX 2008
Ref: wssevncx08
The NCX is the ultimate no -cam high speed freeride sail. Light and direct it combines
the immediate response and acceleration of a thoroughbred with the stability and locked i
n drive not traditionally found in non-cam sails. The design team concentrated on developing
a higher tension sail that allows the rider to maintain a comfortable stance through gusts,
chop and wind shifts to provide a huge performance wind range.
Emphasis is on an extremely balanced sail with built in shock absorbing qualities.
Monofilm power zone for crisper response.
Compared to 2007 the sail has a more upright stance, it drives off the fin more for
increased speed potential.
Dropped clew allow shorter boom lengths to be used resulting in a more direct, locked in feel.
The 7.5 has an additional batten for increased stability and performance .

Severne Gator
Ref: wssevgator08
The Gator is designed for the aggressive freeride sailor no matter what the wind conditions.
From eight knots on the local lake to Hookipa, the Gator will deliver.
Progressive ride geometry that orientates the smaller size towards pure wave performance
and the larger sizes toward pure flatwater freeride. As a rider encounters stronger wind conditions, the sails deliver more control and maneuvrability; in lighter winds, the larger rig enables earlier planing
and stability.Severne realise that progressive riders dont become conservative because the
wind lightens or the waves flatten. If you are blasting along with your 6.5, racing one of your mates
and the perfectly angled piece of chop rolls towards you, you can try throwing
a forward - you might not make it but the sail won't let you down!
Gator 9.0-6.5
The larger sizes of the Gator feature a lower foot, more powerful profile and lightest construction.
It is orientated towards speed, stability and early planing.
Gator 6.0-5.5
The medium sizes feature a blend of design and material characteristics, making
them maneuver and freemove orientated while still comfortable for straight line blasting.
Gator 5.3-3.7
Smallest sizes are as comfortable in the waves as any of the dedicated wave lines,
while the soft and forgiving feel keeps them easy to use for flat water action.

Severne S1 2008
Ref: wssevs108
Many sails these days are created in the technology domain of racers and computer programs.
With Severne Sails the S1 is an example of the fundamental design difference to other designers.
By combining different materials and construction technologies with ongoing refinement
and good old fashioned on the ware R and D, the S-1 is a prime choice for small freestyle sails.
This year it has been taken a step further and introduced 2 freestyle orientated sails - the 5.9 and the 6.3.
The new generation materials and construction have allowed a reduction of weight,
enhanced durability and increased rig response translating into an unbeatable
'throw around' factor giving the rider the feeling of having a smaller rig without the power sacrifice.
The weight saving is acheived through extensive use of E4 material combined with
extensive Aramid reinforcing in higher load areas.
Construction
e4 laminate upper body
aramid torsion frame
ARC- aramid radial clew -even load distribution
heavy duty 25mm double stiched wundow and impact area
seamless foot construction with Pro -Tect hidden stitching patches
coloured X-Ply for durable colour without weight increase
New for 2008
Increased durability
Reduced weight
Larger 5.9 + for light wind and freestyle orientation
New Durasleeve Lt on 5.3 and larger sizes reduces rig weight
Higher clew position allows rider to hang more weight on boom for a quicker more reactive style.

Severne Blade 2008
Ref: wsblade08
A proven combination of power and control and now constructed in 100% X-Ply for
maximium durability.
The Blade series has seen ongoing refinemant and progression. Size by size,
the power distribution has been tuned to give a consistent feel across the range.
The larger sizes have a lower power zone, with twist biased towards a more open head section.
The smaller sizes have progressively higher power zones with a very even twist pattern.
This creates a more uniform feel between each size - a key component of wave design ideology.
Durability is another key factor of this sail. The new full X-Ply constuction features a bombproof
Spectra footpanel, and upgraded KS Optic X- Ply window and the Aramid reinforced Metalex 11 material.
